Questions & Answers
1. What are your payment terms?
T/T, Paypal, Western union, L/C ,ESROW.
2. Can I customize high-layer count Tg 150 PCB?
Yes, we support Tg150 PCB with up to 8-12 layers. However, we suggest you choose up to 12 layers for high-density designs; beyond that, Tg170+ is more suitable due to they are less likely to exhibit warpage risk under thermal stress with better dimensional stability.
3. Why choose Tg150 over Tg170?
The higher the Tg is, the higher the price is. Tg150 is 10–20% cheaper than Tg170. What’s more, if you don’t have extreme thermal demands, medium Tg FR4 PCB is adequate for most consumer or industrial applications. So, choose the one that is most suitable for your project, and you can contact our experts for professional advice.
4. What are the common surface finishes for Tg150 PCBs?
HASL-LF is cost-effective and easy to solder; Flat EING is best for fine-pitch; Immersion tin or silver balances the cost and shelf life.
5. Is the Tg150 PCB good for high-frequency or RF designs?
Tg150 PCB can only work for RF applications up to ~5 GHz, and falls short for higher frequencies like mmWave and RF. Tg150 works fine for high-reliability electronics and mid-speed digital signals.
6. Does Tg150 need special drilling/via treatment?
No. Tg50 PCBs don’t need a special drill, but they need tighter temperature control during drilling in case of the risk of smearing.
7. What’s the maximum layer count of the FR4 Tg150 PCB?
We recommend choosing 6-12 layers for FR4 Tg150 PCB. Beyond 12 layers, the cumulated CTE mismatch and lamination stress can affect reliability and performance. For extreme multilayer boards, we often use Tg170 or 180 to prevent delamination under thermal cycling.
8. Does Tg150 need longer lamination cycles than Tg130?
Yes, Tg150 typically needs +5–15% longer press time than Tg130. Higher Tg temperature means the epoxy resin has a more tightly cross-linked structure and needs longer heat exposure to avoid voids and delamination.
