Questions & Answers

1. Does MOKOPCB support small-batch production?

Yes, we support small-batch and prototype production so you can examine our PCB quality and compatibility.

2. What is the shipping port?

We ship the goods via the Port of Hong Kong or Shenzhen.

3. Why is laser drilling better for HDI/high-frequency PCBs?

Laser drilling is preferred for HDI and high-frequency PCBs because it is precise and flexible while also maintaining signal integrity. Vias drilled by laser are clean and tiny with minimal heat-affected zones, which is important for HDI and high-frequency designs. Besides, laser drilling holes supports blind, buried, and stacked vias, so as to achieve complex multilayer routing.

4. What measures have you taken to prevent heat issues?

To prevent heat issues in continuously operating DVRs, we will use thermal vias, metal-core PCBs, and strategic copper heat sinks.

5. What other material can be used for high-frequency DVR PCB board?

Except for Rogers, PTEE-based laminates also provide superior high-frequency performance. A hybrid design(FR4+Rogers) is also feasible for cost and performance balance. MOKOPCB supports all those materials.

6. What is the significance of line width in high-frequency PCB for DVR?

Line width directly impacts impedance control and signal integrity, so as to ensure stable DVR performance. The narrower the trace width is, the more precisely the impedance can be maintained for high-speed signals. And the wider trace width can reduce resistance in power paths.

7. Why does PCB surface finish matter for high-frequency PCBs?

Surface finish impacts signal integrity because high-frequency signals are extremely sensitive to surface conductivity and roughness due to the skin effect. A poor finish can increase insertion loss, distort impedance, and cause signal losses at high frequencies. Popular finishes include ENIG, Immersion Silver, and OSP.

8. How to ensure good solder joints in high-frequency PCBs?

A reliable solder joint in high-frequency PCB requires careful surface finish selection, thermal management, vias, pad design, and defect prevention. Critical steps include using low-loss finishes like ENIG to avoid material damage and ensure proper via design for thermal stability and signal integrity.
