1oz PCB Metal Core Printed Circuit Board
$76.90
1oz PCB metal core circuit board is widely used in the PCB industry for decades with a standard 1oz copper thickness, which is cheaper and is more flexible than thicker ones. The metal core of this 1oz PCB is aluminum and we also deliver copper ones.

Questions & Answers
1. What is your lead time?
1-2 days. We have our own warehouse and stock in large quantities.
2. What quality certifications do you have?
We have certified UL, ISO, RoHS, IPC, etc.
3. Does 1 oz copper trace limit the thermal performance of the aluminum core PCB?
The primary heat dissipation path of aluminum-core PCBs is mainly through the aluminum base, rather than copper traces.
4. Can I make plated through holes in the 1 oz aluminum PCBs?
No, the standard aluminum PCBs don’t support PTH vias in that the aluminum core is non-conductive. However, you can use thermal vias to better transfer heat.
5. When should I use a 2-layer aluminum PCB instead of FR4?
When it comes to LEDs or converters for high-power/high-heat applications, you may need to choose an aluminum PCB, but stick with RF4 for complex and cost-sensitive designs.
6. What’s the minimum spacing for 1oz copper PCB?
The thicker the copper is, the more spacing is required. The minimum spacing of 1 oz copper is 3.5 mil or 0.089mm.
7. How thick is a 1oz copper layer of the aluminum PCB?
A 1 oz copper(28.35 grams) evenly covers 1 square of surface area; the resulting thickness is about 1.37 mil or 0.0347mm.
8. When should I choose 2oz copper on an aluminum PCB?
It depends on current density and thermal requirements. If the PCB needs to pass through 5A per mm trace width, thicker copper(2oz) is necessary.
9. Does 1 oz copper trace limit the thermal performance of the aluminum core PCB?
The primary heat dissipation path of aluminum-core PCBs is mainly through the aluminum base, rather than copper traces.
