High Tg PCB Prototype

$19.90

Product Description

High Tg PCB prototype is capable of withstanding temperatures over 170℃. Compared to standard FR4 PCB, high Tg PCB enhances thermal, moisture, and chemical resistance, making it the best choice for fields that require good electrical performance under high temperature, such as communication equipment, aerospace, and medical devices. MOKOPCB provides you with high-quality high-Tg PCB prototypes to help you make the best choice.

Questions & Answers

1. What is your lead time?

1-2 days. We have our own warehouse and stock in large quantities.

2. What are your payment terms?

T/T, Paypal, Western union, L/C ,ESROW.

3. What is the minimum layer line spacing you can manufacture?

The minimum layer line spacing we can fabricate is 4 mil.

4. What is Tg? What’s the benefit of high-Tg PCB?

Tg, also called glass transition temperature, is the maximum temperature at which a PCB substrate can maintain structural stability and rigidity. If the temperature rises over the threshold, the substrate will soften, deform, melt, and exhibit a great decline in electrical properties. The high Tg means better temperature resistance of the material, delivering products with greater performance, longer lifespan, and higher reliability.

5. What material is used for high Tg printed circuit boards?

The most common high-Tg material is FR4, which has a Tg(≥170℃). Polyamide or ceramic-filled laminates can be used in some conditions, but they are more expensive.

6. What’s your board thickness customization range?

This high Tg PCB is 1.6mm thick, and we provide a prototype with customizable thickness ranging from 0.3mm to 5mm according to different PCB layers. Standard options include 0.8mm、1.0mm、1.2mm、1.6mm、2.0mm.

7. Is the PCB TG Higher the Better?

It depends on your actual applications. High PCB Tg means greater high-temperature resistance and stability, making it behave better for high-power or high-temperature applications, especially when you need lead-free reflow soldering. On the other hand, low and medium-Tg PCBs are cheaper, and their performances are sufficient for most consumer electronics like computers.

8. Why do high-Tg PCBs have better thermal stability?

High-Tg PCBs provide better thermal stability because the high-Tg materials resist softening at elevated temperatures and maintain structural integrity. It also has reduced thermal expansion and better chemical resistance, providing greater reliability and performance.

9. How does high Tg affect the mechanical and electrical properties of a PCB?

High-Tg improves PCBs’ mechanical strength with greater rigidity, thermal stress resistance, and reduced warping and via failures. For electrical properties, high-Tg provides stable dielectric performance and lower signal losses, which is beneficial for RF and high-power applications.

10. What are the common thickness and copper weight options for high-Tg PCBs?

High-Tg PCB is typically 0.3 mm to 5 mm thick, and standard 1.6mm is the most used one for most applications. Copper weight varies from 0.5 oz to 4 oz for most standard designs.
